Association for Women in Computing - Houston Chapter

The current financial environment has us all carefully weighing how we spend limited personal resources. Yet for career building and maintenance, it has never been more important to continue learning, skill building, and active networking within the business community.

AWC is a non-profit organization formed to help women build successful careers in technical fields. Our purpose is to help women in growing numbers achieve their professional and business goals through providing education and sharing connections, resources, and opportunities in a supportive, networking environment.

We host monthly meetings on current IT and professional development topics where professionals can network and discuss issues in corporate America and entrepreneurial ventures. As a chapter member, you can expand your skills by holding board positions, joining committees, or getting involved with civic projects or our scholarship program.

AWC Houston members are also members of the national AWC organization and of a local umbrella organization called the Federation of Houston Professional Women (FHPW). FHPW is an alliance of women’s professional organizations that also supports professional and educational development of women.

You’ll have to look far and wide to find another professional organization that offers vast networking opportunities within a such a supportive group and monthly program meetings featuring excellent speakers -- for a minimal membership fee.

We are eager to know you and to support your career goals. Join us now and start taking advantage of all we have to offer.
